Moral story: Greediness

Once upon a time, there was a farmer who owned a small farm. He had a son who was lazy and would always look for excuses to avoid work. One day, the farmer became ill and was unable to work on the farm. The son was left in charge of the farm, but instead of working hard, he spent most of his time lounging around and enjoying himself.

One day, the son heard about a goose that laid golden eggs. He thought that if he had such a goose, he would be able to become rich without doing any work. So he set out to find the goose and finally came across it. The goose belonged to an old man who agreed to give it to the son, but he warned him not to be greedy and to only take one golden egg per day.

The son, however, was not satisfied with one egg per day. He wanted to become rich quickly, so he decided to cut open the goose and take out all the golden eggs at once. But to his dismay, he found nothing inside the goose.

The son had made a big mistake by being greedy and not listening to the old man’s advice. He had lost the goose that could have given him a lifetime of riches. The moral of the story is that greed can lead to a person’s downfall, and it is better to be content with what we have rather than always wanting more.
